This photograph shows a 1948 Blue Jays night game at McNearney Stadium, later renamed Schenectady Stadium, in Schenectady, New York. McNearney Stadium was finished in 1946 and included coin-operated turnstiles, a new electric scoreboard, a restaurant, and state of the art flood lights made by General Electric. The photo was taken from several rows behind home plate and shows some of the crowd in the stadium, as well as the players on the field. The flood lights in the outfield are also prominently featured in this photo.
